I am not sure what I mean now. I thought I read somewhere that it was a subset. I have only learned VFP and T-SQL, so I don't know how closely VFP SQL compares to other dialects.

My main point was to suggest that a T-SQL book would probably provide enough insight into the SQL paradigm (man I hate that word) with a syntax close enough to VFP SQL to facilitate transferring the ideas to VFP.
