I do too, a lot, but only in small utilities where I don't have a DBC, all free tables (no "Default Value" avialable). But if he does use it to do something to the original table when he's done, there would be a mess if say, records were deleted in the table during the middle of this.

So, Terry, what exactly are you using the RecNo for?
