Hmm, I'm not up on what InstallShield creates, so I guess you could use LLFF to change it. I'm not exactly sure how you'd find that area of the program, though. Can you put specific info in your InstallShield information to begin with? That way you could use the LLFF to read the data in, find your "unique identifier", and then use LLFF to write it back out.
