I am hoping you can help me with a strange error I am receiving with an application that was developed several years ago and is running successfully in several environments.

The problem is based around a program that utilizes that sends data from FPW to MS Word. The program itself executes flawlessly to send the appropriate data and do the things needed in Word. The problem arises when after the program finishes processing, we close Word and then try to do something else in the FPW 26 based application. At this point, we receive a screen in our application with the message of something like "!g CTRL+F10" with an OK push button. Pressing the OK button accomplishes nothing. The system basically locks up and the only way around the problem is the re-boot the machine.

NOTE: if we keep MS Word running there aren't any problems and we can continue to do work in the application. This seems very strange because upon completion of the program MS Word and our application are separate entities.

We are experiencing the situation in a customer site that is running different versions of Novell, but in the environment we are having the most problems they are running 4.11. Note that the client machines are fairly state-of-the-art Gateways. These Gateway machines have MS Word 97 installed locally on them.

Again, what makes this strange is that this program is running in similar environments (Novell and Gateway) with great success. Therefore, I'm thinking there might be something misconfigured?

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
