I have had no trouble with WIN ZIP in large files and open tables as part of large files. I back up an SBT & TIW system at one client. Every night at quitting time they run the generate program for TIW to produce work orders. It has lots of tables open that were never getting backed up.

WinZip makes this job easy. I get a zip file for all the modules, and ;my tape back up can safely back up that zip file.

I don't span disks in this operation. We are talking 15+ megs per zip.
