Thanks John

Table B is always rebuilt and it is the same records that are in A but with a couple of new records. I have to find the difference between the two tables.
I worked on it for awhile and found that I can use a select with a subquery with a not in clause. I was hoping that someone would be able to give me a better solution because the analyzer shows table scans and even with indexs it doesn't perform any better.

if you have any more ideas please forward trying to make this go as fast as i can.

Thanks again John
