Yes you can always copy the data to a temporary table or cursor and query against that. But it would save a lot of coding (on the part of developers not Microsoft) add a /DIRTY switch to queries which would retrieve uncomitted changeds from views rather than requerying the view. It would especially simply adding records in many to many screens...
