I recently saw a note that the EMPTY() function was not optimizable, I have not noticed any decrease in speed in my apps, but just to keep things going as quickly as I can, I am changing my searches to something like LOCATE FOR DELETED() OR NAME=SPACE(10) instead of DELETED() OR EMPTY(NAME).

Any opinions?
