I'm a beginner in FoxPRo and SQL so I cannot answer your comments, in fact to be honnest, I don't even know what or which syntax of SQL I'm working with. (I use VFP 6.0 with MSSQL 7.0)

But I do understand the importance of writing a good select statement to improve the speed of an application. I hope somebody will give us their experience and comments.
