>is there a way to determine which control last had the focus when an error is generated? My error routine would be more helpful if it could identify the control that choked. (the line numbers aren't very helpful if i don't know which method they're relating to)

_Screen.ActiveControl; you can determine theform in qustion through _Screen.ActiveForm
