I have to think of what I've gained in transferable skills by learning a distinctly new and powerful method of development of object orientation in VFP. And, that VB is moving in that direction means that development in the two will allow more similar architectures for someone working in both.
On the other hand, the complexity of new environments, and their idiosyncracies (I almost said, perversities) gives one pause before "jumping in with both feet" .....
