Hi Denis,
My supposition is a bit different...
...as VFP 3 came out the rumours of its "certain demise" grew to maximum volume while at the same time things like PB and DELPHI were getting a lot of press. Forced to learn a 'new' product anyway, why not the heralded one(s) as opposed to the doomed one???
