/ Has anyone seen this weird phenomena? Certain PC's thruout this place of / employment when running several apps say upon startup / "Cannot read from drive D". So I put any available CD into the cd-rom drive / and run again and it works. Crazy eh? This phenomenon might occur when the app was compiled with something which originally resided on some D: drive, and tries to look at it; doesn't find it and triggers error code. Look into the app with any lister capable of searching thru 'garbage', you'll probably find some things where D:\bla-bla is mentioned. This may sound annoying when you build an app, and test it on the machine where it was built, and everything works fine, even if you moved it to an empty folder - it still contains references to the original paths, so anything it needs to work still can be found on this machine. Then you move it to another machine and it doesn't work. That's "how FoxPro finds its components" story. Packing an app to work on an unknown machine may be next to nightmare - you are never too sure whether you included everything or not.
