Thanks for your input. I had to have someone here help tweak it...after breaking my head on it for a while. Ended up looking like this:
*where image is a textbox containg the path to the image file
filen =ThisForm.image.value
commandl = "D:\Progra~1\Window~1\Access~1\ImageVue\wangimg.exe " + filen
run &commandl
