I don't think Craig was wrong about how technically difficult it is, but rather whether or not it would be done. I do think that this bears out something that I've said before. Namely, if these sort of changes were to happen, it would be in the next version due to the port to Win64.

Whether or not this happens is pure guesswork. I know that getting real windows controls would solve a number of problems. The question is will the change create more than its solves?
