Tell your boss he should hire more reputable or, at least, more informed contractors. Figure 1 in the Web Services page of the VS Next Generation paper on MSDN clearly shows VFP, VB, and VC.
Hell, I'll go beyond that and venture a guess that (PURELY an opinion here, folks) that VFP will be more robust and a bigger part of the COM world with the release of VS7 than ever before.
