I don't know about other countries, mainly about Germany. But here they are supposed not to follow German laws. In fact, this group (it's not a church here) is currently observed by the office responsible for defending the constitution, because they assume that the goals of Scientology are against our democracy. This places them in one group with Nazis and communists. Hence, several states here require that no-one working for public services and offices must be a member of the Scientology group, nor do public companies buy products from companies where Scientology is involved.
