Did you hear the one about the very religious man who was living by the river? A large storm had pummeled the area he lived in. The news media had asked all the residents to evacuate for safety. He stayed. He tells himself that God will take care of him.

The river rises flooding his street. A man comes by in his boat. Once again the pious man declines. “God will take care of me.”

Now the National Guard is sending around helicopters to save the stranded atop their dwellings. You all know the mans response, “God will take care of me.”

When his house is washed away, he perishes. He ascends and meets God. His first question is “Why did you forsake me?” God responds that he sent 3 messages to the man. I sent the news media to show the rising rivers, the man in the boat and the final one in the helicopter.

God continues with the question, “Why did you ignore them?”
