No, no...
I was specifically warning against popping open any of the Registry with, say, the Notepad or a text editor. This, one should *never* do.
As implied by your post, there are a set of API calls that can be called (easily) from VFP that will add, search for, modify or delete keys in the Registry. This is, in fact good Windows programming practice, and why it ws put there to begin with - at that level, it is the replacement for .ini files.
