You can use a General field to emmbed or link the picture into the table, or just a memofield that either contains a link to the image file, or the image file itself (you can use FileToStr() to get it in and StrToFile() to get it out).

For the scanner look in the files here, under Images and stuff, Waleed Hassan posted something about a Wang or Kodak scanner too I think.
