Hi Everyone,

Just a short note about my experience last week at the SQL 2 the Max conference in San Francisco. This conference was designed primarily for developers either currently using SQL Server 6.5 or (cough, cough) the Access Jet Database engine and developing the front-end of their web applications with VB, ASP, ADO, etc., etc.

Anyway, during a few of the seminars, the speakers asked for a show of hands regarding which tools developers were using - in addition to Access, they ran through the tools available in the Visual Studio toolbox - NOT ONE OF THE SPEAKERS EVEN MENTIONING VFP !!! When they asked what others were being used, I raised by hand and exclaimed "what about the blacksheep of the Microsoft family - Foxpro?" I was met with silence from the speaker and blank stares from the (primarily) MS Access crowd. Duh!

In talking to a number of attendees at this conference, it just amazed me at their total and (for the most part) utter ignorance of VFP.

OK, now that I got that off my chest, I think I'll be OK . . .
