Hi All,

I am new to Mere Mortals but have been programming in many other languages over time and VFP5 & 6 over the past year or so. I have run into something I don’t quit understand.

I have created a business class (‘kbbiz’) and saved it in abizness.vcx which is in my project. It is a parent of the kbizness from the common30 lib. When I modify ‘kbbiz’ I see a number of methods that are derived form the parent obviously.

I have dropped ‘kbbiz’ on a form and run the builder on it to establish the data environment, indicate the view it is to use and have added some code in the post requery hook. All seems cool.

My question is, when I edit the class on the form I do not see any of the methods that show when I modify the class in the vcx. ????

Also when I modify the class from the vcx I do not see the code I just added through the builder on the instance of the class on the form. ??? Does this mean that if I am going to add custom methods to ‘kbbiz’ I must do it by modifying the class in the vcx? What happens to methods or code that may be added to the instance of the class that is on the form?

Is this covered in any documentation? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Bill
