>If your graphics program allows you to choose between RGB mode and RLE (run-length encoding) mode when creating a bitmap (.bmp) image file, be sure to choose RGB. VFP apparently isn't equipped to handle RLE-encoded bitmap images and will either fail to display the image or will terminate with an invalid page fault.

Thanks for the heads up. Just a thought. Have you tried using a RLE bitmap with the PictureClip ActiveX control? The listview and treeview can use what its GraphicCell() method returns. I'm wondering if this applies there too.
