Hello Francois,

You must be truly P*SSED OFF at this turn of events!

You pleased the marketing team, and over here that seems to overrule anything else. Not so in Dublin I see.

But are there details as to WHY the techies rejected it (other than simply 'it's written in VFP)??? I assume that you mean techies at your company. And that being the case, what does MS VFP MARKETING have to do with that?

I also find myself asking how over 3000 hours could be put into something without at least some prior checking with the techies with (obviously) a whole lot of power.

Finally, a product that works *AND* pleases marketing too is far more useful than some theoretical product, even if it is written in ABACUS. In other words, what does the language really matter, NOW THAT IT WORKS (well too)??? I've gotta believe that your pet is not dead yet!

Good luck with it.

Jim N

>The reason not to make the deal : rejected by the techies because fox has been used. I could not hide it in the end.

>This is, of course, not the first time. It will be the last one. I AM MORE THAN FED UP WITH MS VFP MARKETING. Why did i stay with vfp for data-centric apps (i have been leaning to Delphi for quite a few years now).
