When printing to a file to calculate the total page count, the windows "Printing..." dialog is displayed, and a printer icon appears on the task bar. Any ideas on how to prevent this from happening?

>Just to add to what Craig wrote you, the reason for sending the report to a file is because VFP will sometimes have different page breaks in the Preview version than in the printed version. So you must use a printed version (to a file) to determine total pages.
