>This is what I mean, it may look beatuful on paper, it may come to together in development, but do you know exactly how it performs in production? Any crucial bugs that may be discovered since the techonology is pretty new?

Will another consultant come into fix or modify something for the client, but not be able to know whats going on, and end leaving the client penniless and with software that isn't an asset?

Actually, we have a guy in our user group who has an application using WC and VFP front ends to run over 100 auto parts stores in California and a few other western states. It seems to work well enough that he is making buckets of money and undercutting the Oracle guys by thousands of dollars. Personally, I'm looking that way on a couple of apps right now too. The security is much better, you can pull on records of a bunch and do incremental uploads, etc. Rick's work has paved the way for us to already do what VB is touting in the distant future.
