I posted a message awhile ago asking for reasons to use VFP in conjunction with Oracle. I received a few responses but nothing concrete. Therefore, I am posting this question again. Or, if anyone has various applications using VFP and Oracle, maybe you could provide a brief description about it. Currently, my associates and I develop applications for small user groups. We are having trouble determining if the move is necessary, especially when only the 'end result' is being reviewed by numerous parties. Our thoughts are to leave the applications as they are and simply dump the end result in Oracle. The problem is we are having trouble understanding how the 2 pieces fit together. We have all attended an Oracle class and are learning VFP hands on, but we aren't sure how to move an existing application to Oracle and have the same functionality as we do today using FoxPro 2.6. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
