More and more Anglicized as thing went along, eh? Same here.

In my situation:

Son: John Stephan Koziol V
Me: John Stephan Koziol IV
Dad: John Stephan Koziol III
Granddad: John Stefan Koziol II
GreatGranddad: John Stefan Koziol, Jr
GGGranddad: John Stefan Koziol

The pronunciation of the middle name changed to "Steven" from "Stefan" with my Dad. I was never sure why the second was actually the third. Some Polish thingie about that, kinda along the lines of the Jewish tradition of it being bad luck to name your kids after living relatives.
