>Oh, yeah...here we are: removing the CLEAR POPUPS line from the shortcut menu method did the trick completely. There was some problem in vfp5 that caused the need for the CLEAR POPOPS (I believe the popup did not refresh properly when the bars were altered at runtime). It was apparently was fixed in 6, since after much testing, everything works fine without it.
