I have an application that uses a combination of remote views and SQL passthrough. This application is run against an Oracle 8i database. At the local site the application runs without problems, however at the remote sites I sometimes receive the error "Cannot resolve backlink". This error is not consistent. When the application starts up, it loads 16 lookup tables. Three of these lookup tables are remote views. The error occurs when I issue a USE table1 IN 0. Where table1 is a remote view. I have run VALIDATE DATABASE at the remote sites and there are no problems reported. We are testing the application at 2 remote sites with the same problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
