Normally, I wear glasses. In fact, during most of my adult life, my eyesight has been so poor that I couldn't get a driver's license. My opthamologist told me on my last visit (last Nov.) that my eyesight has improved enough that it's now correctable enough so that I could get one. So my vision is the reason.

Further, 640x480 (around here) is the most common resolution, so...

Now, to answer a question before it's asked...The picture above (without glasses) was taken about two years ago. At the time, I was thinking about getting contacts (and reading glasses). Well, I never did, I'm still planning that.
