It asks if I want to remove the column, just as you all say it's supposed to.
I did a little more investigating. All of my grids allow me to remove a column, just as described, except for two. These two grids are different in one way that I can see. They are sitting on top of other controls, whose .Visible properties are manipulated in runtime, of course. The grid or one of its columns is, however, correctly selected in the property sheet when I hit the delete key and nothing happens (except that the cursor disappears). I made a copy of the form, deleted the overlapping controls, and tried to remove columns. Still nothing.
