well yeah, me too - i was giving times i thought OTHERS would use...

I started this current project at the end of July. ("ok, you can start work")
It took a month just to get the data modelled in a useful way. After 3 months, mgmt wanted to know why the app wasn't in production at 13 locations. (it's a payroll interface among other things)

In the interest of rapid development, i started with a very Fox2.6 mentality, and learned VFP as i went. I try not to look at that code now, because i see how badly it screams for a re-write. Unfortunately, i don't have time because there's still a few modules to be developed the first time. (and besides, you shouldn't "fix" what is currently working at least until everything else works)
