>Seriously though, you guys remember Corel... they are responsible for driving two successful products into the ground. Corel Draw and WordPerfect. Let's hope Delphi doesn't suffer the same fate.

We use WordPerfect. Version 9 (WP Office 2000) came out not too long ago. I have always preferred WP over MS Word. I just went from 5.1 for DOS to WordPerfect 7.0 for Windows. The versions in between were bad. But you are right to some degree. WP was king in every way. Now it has lost market share. I still feel that it is an excellent product.

And Corel Draw!...I don't know stats about this product, but I know some graphics professionals that use Corel Draw!, Photo Paint, etc.. There are new versions of that product too. I find them a little feature-heavy for my use (i.e. I don't know what half the things do and even when I find out what they do, I can't think of why I'd want to use them), but the pros like the features and use them. I still use Corel Draw! 4.0 for quick page layouts when the need arises. I am sure that hurts sales a bit. I have skipped the last 4 major releases because the old one does the job.

Anyways, maybe these products aren't as popular as they were, but they are still excellent products in my opinion.

Take care,
Joe
