nope - gets issued on exiting any form in the app provided that no other form is open. It forces the "Programs" menu to popdown much more reliably than
" activate menu _msysmenu PAD 'PROGRAMS' " for some reason.

thats all I want it to do - this command is called on exiting the app back into the deveopment environment command window. I was irritated by the 'P' appearing in the command window

thought the whole point of the command was exactly that - to clear keystrokes that have already been typed but might be inappropriate given the events happening on screen.

I made the assumption that it also ought to clear anything I'd 'poked' into the keyboard buffer using the KEYBOARD command. For some reason I still don't have an explanation for, it does not appear to do that. But its just become a non issue (other than my continuing "academic" interest) as Pete's fix works a treat (he suggested using KEYBOARD "" CLEAR - which, embarrasingly (having now RTFM) was a new one on me )
