>Thats absolutely correct! for I have already experienced it. The only comment that I can give in creating an application setup for your program is that it needs atleast 3 disks (as far as i have experienced) w/c contains only a merely 300 kb size of an exe file. Mr. Rauh, with this, is it possible to have only one setup disk for the VFP library. Thank you very much!
No, the required files will not fit on one 1.44MB floppy. I distribute my apps on CD, since the cost is not significantly greater, and I've yet to have a site that wanted one of the VFP 5/6 apps I've developed not be able to mount a CD and make it available via a network if the local station did not have a CD of it's own, since VFP5 means Win95 or better IAC. The risk of accidental damage to the distribution media becomes negligible. An ISO-compliant CD will hold several hundred floppy disks of installation files. This makes it trivial to do - build a NetSetup, burn a CD image, and ship the CD. YMMV.
(IOW, big deal, three whole floppies...in some cases, I have a couple hundred meg of data files to ship with the app, and help files, and things like the WSH, etc. Floppies are not up to the task IMO.)
