You're right. I've just noticed quite a large number of *very short*, and quite often inaccurate posts recently, indicating the person giving the answer did not take time to accurately read and analyze the question. Some answers are almost totally unrelated to the question.

>Sure, but this does seem to be pretty consistent. I joined the UT on 3/27/97. Now AFAIK, the member numbers are issued sequentially. Since I joined there have been nearly 21,000 new members. So taking the number of days since I joined (1,065) and dividing that into 21,000 gives us nearly 20 new members per day (19.72 to be exact).

I wonder how many never come back? I know there are *many* visitors every day who do not post, but are here to look, lurk and learn. That was my approach for about a year before I ever posted a message.
