Hi Whil,

I must admit, I've just forced myself to pick it up again after a month or so (Gliek's new gook arrived in between, as did Fundamentals <g>) and I am using it for its soporiphic effect (there are two piles of books "currently being read" at my place - one next to the bed and one in the smallest room in the house).

I do agree that the pundits seem to be struggling for new stuff to stay (maybe the software engineering book industry has moved from the Gold-Rush to the Post-Gold-Rush phase and the writers need to adjust their techniques).

Cheers,

Andrew

>Is it just me or has the latest crop of books by the "pundits" been uniformly boring and pendantic? McConnell's After the Gold Rush, Alan Cooper's Inmates, Ed Yourden's Deathmarch, and so on. The only thing I've found in the last four months that I've actually finished is Gerry Weinberg's Secrets of Consulting. (It's not a trashy "Make Money Fast" book like the title sort of sounds like.)

If we were to introduce Visual FoxBase+, would we be able to work from the dotNet Prompt?
