If it's a new value, you should store the DisplayValue to a variable, add the item to the array, requery and reset DisplayValue to equal the variable. Ed and I posted an answer to a similar problem yesterday. If you're selecting from the list, you shouldn't have that behavior.

I would strongly recommend to read MS VFP Developer's Guide, Chapter 11 'Using Controls'. The most repetitive questions (e.g. how to type and add value into combobox) specifically answered over there.
