First off, consider using a view instead of a filtered table. This will enabled you to REQUERY() the view and then fire the Requery method of the combo and, I think, this will get you the desired results.

The table is filtered by WASUSED = .f. . After an item has been selected from a combo, I don't want it visible again. When the combo receives focus again, the same record is visible until the record pointer moves in the combo. How can I refresh the combo so this won't happen.
