It sounds as if the user you are connecting with does not have access
to read and write to these tables or to connect. Assuming NT easiest way is to go to this server
\\ip-address\ and the create the user you are connecting as with the same username and password.
And ensure permission on the folder allows you to read and write to the files.


If you can type:
\\ip-adress\tables\
In the start run dialog and then open the tables then it's something else.

What happens when you make a connection to these tables?
