There are several shareware-tools that allows you to convert a bitmap file to an icon file preserving the aspect of the original image. As a matter of fact I used "Icon Edit Pro 1.0" last week to do just that (www.shareware.com).

You will need to create an icon with a 32x32 _and_ a 16x16 image embedded on it. Take a look at http://www.ml-consult.demon.co.uk/foxst-02.htm for more information about that.

There used to be a icon editor in Visual FoxPro but I don't see in my system anymore. If you have Visual Studio installed you can launch Visual C++ and create an icon file from there.
