What happens if you issue
indbc("dives.dbf", "table")? This will let you know if the table is part of the DBC. If it is, you may need to remove the table from the DBC, then add it back.
>I have a database that includes a table, DIVES.DBF. The data base has 17 other tables and 9 views. The DIVES.DBF table is included in two of the views (I can open all the views successfully, w/no errors.)

>When I open the data base exclusively and do a VALIDATE DATABASE, I receive the following error (twice):

>Alias 'DIVES' is not found

>Yet VFP reports:
>DATABASE CONTAINTER IS VALID

>I opened the database as a table and only found "DIVES" referred to by the 2 views and the DIVES table itself.
