My father uses an LQ-series Epson printer that he bought in 1985. It still runs like a top. By the way, do you know the origin of the company name "Epson" ... it's kinda funny.

Seems that creating a printer was a new experience for the company. I can't remeber if it was Casio or Citizen or Seiko but it was a Japanese watch company. Anyway, they created this dot-matrix printer they called the EP-1. It was successful and they decided to go into the business as "Epson", which literally means "Son of EP".
