Sometimes there's a glitch in the debugger when some of its buttons (including the debugger's Close box) appear disabled, while they actually are enabled and work as specified. Sometimes it takes closing and reopening some of the debugger windows to get them to work. Whatever the case, it is in the state you expect... well, most of the time.
