I'm not sure I understand the problem.

Your view is related into a table. SO you have something like:
select myview
set relation to myfield into mytable

And you say the records in mytable don't match up? Is there an index on mytable and is it active (i.e. set order to somefield)? Does the index match up with the field in the view?
