One low-tech quick fix might be to use the SUBST command in your autoexec.bat on startup to set drive C: = E: . That drive will then be accessible using C: or E: and you can transparently switch between the two computers. (If E is not available on the "C" computer, use SUBST to map a new letter to both computers, like maybe "P" for project!)
