If Form2 will ALWAYS ONLY require tables from Form1, open the tables in Form1 data environment and set Form2 datasession to default. Don't open any tables in Form2.

Without further info (what does Form2 do, what's behind Form2 cmdButton, what's the exact sequence of Form events - ie. form1-form2-form1-etc.). Your question is a bit vague.
