I am using VFP6 on stand-alone Win98 and network WinNT machines.

When I take the application to another machine (stand-alone or network) I get the error message "Error loading file record number 5 logon. Loading the form or the data enviornment: The table file has moved. Please validate database and try again"

I have validated the database - several times.

In my startup program(logon.prg), I capture the drive and folder name of the starup directory and build additonal paths from that. It works just fine in the development environment.

If I copy the app (EXE) to another folder on the develoment machine, it works fine as long as the name of the development folder does not change. However, If I change the name of the original development folder, it crashes and I get an error similar to the one above. For example: My dev folder is GTMIS_DEV_MIN and the EXE folder is GTMIS. If I change GTMIS_DEV_MIN to GTMIS_DEV_MINX and then try and run the EXE in GTMIS, I get an error message. It seems as if the app is pointing back to the development environment for the tables.

Why? What do I need to do?

Thanks
