The indexes are on date and dateval
but the indexes themselves do do seem
to be a problem. The problem is not with
the speed of the query. The problem is with
the fact that I am attaching the result of the
query to a grid. If I didnt have to refresh
the grid then I wouldnt have a speed issue.
